The Downeaster March -- Written as an entry in a composer's contest while the author was living in Maine (hence the title), this march was returned unjudged in the contest, because they required a recording, and there was no way to get a recording in far northern Maine at the time. This stirring march in the traditional style uses the theme of striking a chord a half-step below what's expected on the downbeat, then sliding to the correct chord on the afterbeat. Gettin' It On Down Yonder -- Want a challenge? Thank you for your forbearance as we build our website. We intend to have a fully functional database and search engine as soon as we can. For now, the music is simply listed to get it on the page. There are 83 (or so) pieces but there will be more later on. So please bear with us as we're starting up. Many of the detail pages aren't active yet, but they will be soon.

UPDATE! I have now found and digitized recordings of many of the band and synthesizer tunes. They are already or will be posted here soon in MP3 format so you can hear what they sound like.
